Goodell seeks private jet for life in next contract

Jones, a non-voting member of the committee, is reportedly looking to sue the league if Goodell's extension is completed without final approval from the league's 32 teams.

Another report emerged that Goodell was asking for $50 million a year, a private jet, and lifetime health insurance.

The six-member committee consists of Blank, New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft, Houston Texans owner Bob McNair, Kansas City Chiefs owner Clark Hunt, New York Giants co-owner John Mara, and Pittsburgh Steelers owner Art Rooney II.

"Leadership starts at the top, and this is an example of poor leadership", Schnatter said, words that owners wonder if Jones had a hand in.

Goodell's current contract runs out in March 2019 and the commissioner and owners are working on a five-year contract extension.

Jones is spearheading an effort to slow down Goodell's contract talks, and in doing so he claimed that Compensation Committee Chairman Arthur Blank had been misleading owners on the state of the talks with Goodell.

An attorney representing Jones said last week that the Cowboys owner had sent a letter to league counsel that was shared with the other NFL owners that said they were being misled during the negotiations.

Delhi pollution: Government calls off odd-even plan in NCR
Citizens of Delhi will have to wait till Monday to know the contours of the third road rationing scheme. In 2007 the Delhi Court had said that 11,000 busses are required to cover 865 routes of the city.

Blank, according to a report Sunday by Sports Illustrated writer Peter King, was "shocked" and "disappointed" by Jones' threat to sue the league, telling the Cowboys owner, "We may have differences, but this is not the way we resolve them. These changing conditions must be weighed relative to the timing of the Commissioner's contract extension".

The NFL Competition Committee is meeting today to discuss extending the NFL boss's already lucrative contract.

This source also said owners are wary of replacing Goodell so soon before the league's collective bargaining agreement with the players expires, in 2020.

Goodell has made headlines in recent months for his handling of league players protesting during the national anthem ahead of NFL games.

"It's about concussions, Jones vs. Goodell, [Ezekiel Elliott's suspension], the anthem".

I never thought I'd be on the side of Jerry Jones, but here I am.
