Foreign Office has confirmed extending the offer to Indian government

Pakistan has offered India a meeting between Indian spy Kulbhushan Jadhav and his wife on "humanitarian grounds", ARY News reported on Friday.

"The Government of Pakistan has chose to arrange a meeting of Commander Kulbhushan Jhadav with his wife, in Pakistan, purely on humanitarian grounds", Foreign Office said in a statement on Friday.

In its list, the Pakistan foreign office had said the Indian prisoners included "52 civilians and 494 fishermen".

The Pakistan Foreign Office today allowed Kulbhushan Jadhav to meet his wife on humanitarian grounds. Mr. Jadhav was arrested by Pakistani law enforcement agencies on March 3, 2016 after he allegedly crossed over from Iran.

Jadhav's execution was stayed after India took the matter to the International Court of Justice, which said he should not be executed till it gives a final ruling in the case. India has moved to have consular access to Jadhav as per United Nations conventions more than 15 times, but Pakistan had rejected all such proposals. His mother, Avanti Jadhav, had earlier sought a Pakistani visa to challenge the verdict that sent her son to the death row.

Supreme Court rejects PIL on appointment of judges
The Supreme Court on Friday constituted a seven-judge bench to examine a plea on bribing of judges to obtain favourable outcomes. Justice Arun Mishra reacted: "Is that not a bad reflection on us that only five senior judges should hear the matter".

Pakistan claims its security forces arrested him from restive Balochistan province March 3 past year after he reportedly entered from Iran.

In May this year, India moved the International Court of Justice against the death sentence without giving him a fair trial. Islamabad, however, all of New Delhi's requests, claiming that since the Indian national faces espionage charges, Pakistan is not obligated to grant India consular access to him.

India acknowledges that Jadhav had served with the Indian Navy but denies that he has any connection with the government.

The ICJ has asked Pakistan to submit its response or memorial by December 13 so that the court can start further proceedings in the case.
