Packers TE Martellus Bennett out Week 10 with shoulder injury

Earlier on Wednesday, Green Bay ruled out Bennett for Week 10's matchup against the Chicago Bears due to a shoulder injury.

The Packers tight end will sit out the team's upcoming game against the Bears as he continues to rehab a shoulder injury suffered in practice last week, coach Mike McCarthy announced Wednesday.

On Oct. 28, Bennett posted to his Instagram account that he was "pretty sure" that the Packers' post-bye week games would be his last in the National Football League and that he would retire after the season.

The Packers have two other tight ends on the roster in Lance Kendricks and Richard Rodgers.

During the Packers' bye week, Bennett said that he believed this year would be his last in the NFL.

Bennett was inactive during the Packers' Monday night loss to Detroit.

He said during searches, two hideouts of LeT terrorists were busted and a cache of explosives was recovered from there. They have been carried by militants who recently infiltrated from Pakistan", Raja said.

Releasing the 30-year-old Bennett under that umbrella makes the Packers eligible to reclaim $4.2 million from his signing bonus, according to ESPN.

Asked about his sudden desire to leave the game, Bennett was even more vague.

He seemed to find a comfort zone in Green Bay initially, hitting it off with quarterback Aaron Rodgers, promoting his off-the-field endeavors (children's books, smart-phone apps and artwork with the Imagination Agency), and expressing his views on politics and social issues.

He had just 24 catches for 233 yards and no touchdowns in this his first season for Green Bay. If he does not get claimed, he becomes a free agent and can sign with any team at any time after that.

Packers tight end Martellus Bennett is tackled by the Vikings' Eric Kendricks.
