Face ID would replace the physical Home button and Touch ID on the new iPad models. The iPhone X is $200 more than the newly released iPhone 8 Plus thanks to its OLED upgrade.

With the recent news making the 2018 iPad Pro updates seem more and more likely, Benjamin Geskin has shared how stunning an nearly bezel-less iPad Pro could be.

By removing the home button, Apple plans to noticeably reduce the size of the edges on the top and bottom of the device for the first time since its introduction in 2010, bringing the design closer to that of the recently released flagship iPhone X. However, the report says that the new iPads will also drop the Home button/Touch ID, something that KGI's recent report didn't mention.

Benjamin imagines an iPad Pro that uses Apple's Face ID facial recognition system that unlocks a device via authentication of a registered users facial features.

He has for months said the trip was made as a private citizen, not as part of his role with the Trump campaign. Page has often been contradictory about whom he met on the trip, but his testimony Thursday was under oath.

However, the new version of the tablet is unlikely to include an OLED screen, which provides more vivid colors and sharper clarity, the people said. More likely is early 2018 alongside the annual iPad refresh which we hope will have Face ID.

The iPad business used to be a huge profit driver for Apple, but revenue has fallen as overall tablet sales have declined in the past few years.

Bloomberg has published a report claiming that the next-generation iPad Pro models will ship with Face ID in 2018. OLED screens more accurately reproduce colors, but are more hard to produce in mass quantities than standard liquid-crystal displays. According to Bloomberg's sources, Samsung will be the only display manufacturer that has enough capacity to produce the iPad Pro's new screens next year. Face ID was introduced on the iPhone X which began shipping earlier this month.
