Singapore Airlines unveiled the all-new cabins that will be installed on its fleet of Airbus A380 Superjumbos yesterday. The offerings are for Airbus A380, which is a part of the over $800 million investment as it attempts keeping top clients in the midst of the recession from other competitors in the industry. After a decade in the airline's inventory, the double-decker fleet is getting an all-new look. The carrier is due to receive the first of five new aircraft next month and will also retrofit the 14 A380s it already has in service by 2020.

Singapore Airlines is also improving its business class, premium economy and economy products in the newly fitted A380s, the first of which will start flying from Singapore to Sydney on December 18.

With six Suites tucked spaciously within the front cabin of the upper deck, customers will experience a sense of exclusivity and intimate privacy aboard the A380.

Each suite is furnished with a separate full-flat bed and a leather chair that can swivel up to 270 degrees.

Some of the suites can be linked.

Of the two lavatories reserved for suite guests, one features a sit-down vanity.

"We will see how the first route (Singapore-Sydney) performs, and we will announce the next destination [that will see the aircraft] with the new configurations in the coming months", he added.

Australia Senate president a dual United Kingdom citizen
Australian Senate President Stephen Parry has said he will resign, after confirming he is a United Kingdom dual citizen. Senior Turnbull government members and Labor have poured cold water on calls for a "citizenship audit" of all MPs.

A unique feature of the new Business Class seat is that it has a carbon fibre composite shell structure, as compared to conventional aircraft seats which use metal as the primary support structure. These include it being the first airline to allow travellers to customise and save their in-seat lighting preferences (in Suites) across different flights.

Png notes that Singapore has also focused on lighter and thinner materials in its new cabins in an effort to cut fuel costs. For couples travelling together, the beds in the first two Suites of each aisle can be converted into a double bed for in-flight spooning. It also reclines into a 67-inch flatbed (no massive change here).

All business class meals will be served on new Narumi chinaware. The planes also will feature new international-style premium economy seats that Singapore first introduced in 2015.

"Economy and premium economy revenues will increase due to the higher seating density".

Premium Economy Class comes with a contemporary and stylish design. Again, the menu is a mix of East and West, including nasi lemak with fried chicken, roasted chicken rice, pancakes plus scrambled eggs with maple syrup, and seafood pasta in creamed tomato basil sauce.

Designed by JPA Design of the United Kingdom and manufactured for Singapore Airlines by JAMCO Corporation of Japan, the interior of the Business Class cabin showcases a modern yet organic colour scheme featuring a selection of soothing and classy leather and fabrics, in addition to lightweight carbon composite materials.
