Samsung stated "Following Samsung Experience version 8.5, which was released with the Galaxy Note 8, Samsung Experience 9.0 is based on the latest version of the operating system built on the Android Oreo UI and UX, and will be available on the next flagship Galaxy device".

Samsung Experience 9.0 is of course Samsung's own take on Android Oreo, but that's always the case with manufacturers who have their own customized Android skins.

Though Samsung has not released the Android Oreo update for its devices, it's working hard on the software. Well, the beta version at least, which Samsung is now rolling out to select devices in the form of Samsung Experience 9.0.

There's little information about what the beta includes as far as features go.

To apply for the program, users must have an active Samsung Account and meet certain requirements. Samsung has rolled out a Beta update for the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus users in the United Kingdom and the USA.

The beta testing program for Android 8.0 Oreo on the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus has begun.
