The school of about 32,800 students is Utah's flagship university and sits on more than 2 square miles (5.18 sq. kilometers) nestled against mountains on the east side of Salt Lake City. An extensive search of upper campus and the hills above Red Butte Canyon is still on going.

An attorney for Alex Wubbels said that the nurse plans to use a portion of the settlement to put toward a new initiative to help others pay for video clips from police body cameras, a Fox affiliate in Salt Lake City reported.

Campus police later received calls reporting shots fired.

Boutain also has a son who lives in Minnesota. She says he was also dedicated computer science student.
