Google CEO: I will 'drop everything' to fix burger emoji

But Google's CEO Sundar Pichai has promised to drop everything Monday to address a major issue: the cheese in Google's hamburger emoji is in a weird place.

Either way, it has polarised burger building opinion all over the internet, with people flocking to share their opinions of how a cheese burger should be correctly layered. That's why this latest controversy surrounding Google's cheeseburger emoji, of all things, has been rather baffling. A tweet by Thomas Baekdal has gone viral, noting that Google's emoji for a burger has the cheese under the meat while Apple's emoji has the cheese on top of the meat.

Baekdal's tweet has been tweeted almost 14,000 times at the time of writing, with over a thousand users also providing their opinions over the topic. However, he adds, this would add a step of melting the cheese in broiler because the residual heat from the burger would not melt it. Though I appreciate the effort to keep the bottom bun from sogging out through the clever placement of greenery, doing so can result in grease pooling within the valleys of the lettuce, which is gross.

Companies like Google and Apple comes up with their own interpretation of the symbols approved by the Unicode Consortium, a nonprofit that sets the global standard for emoji and other software.

They notched up a partnership of 230 for the second wicket and effectively batted New Zealand out of the series. Suddenly a fan wearing a blue Jersey named Virat Kohli ran towards him with the flag of India .

Google's version of the emoji on Android shows the cheese beneath the burger and above the bun.

Not everyone loves Google's emojis, but the company has gone to great lengths to clean up the design of its emoji library and continually make it better.

Let's hope Google execs don't have plans to dive into the restaurant business anytime soon.
