Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata has allayed fears that he is unhappy at the club, as reported by the Telegraph.

Morata left Juventus in 2016 to re-join Real Madrid after the Spanish club activated a buy-back clause in his contract, having won two Serie A titles and helped Juve reach the Champions League final in his two years in Turin.

Quotes attributed to the Spain worldwide by Gazzetta dello Sport on Monday suggested that he does not see himself living in London for long because it is "too big, too much stress, too much of a metropolis".

"I'm fine", said Morata. If Chelsea proposed me 10 years I'd probably sign that too.

"London fascinates me with its multi-ethnicity, but I do not see myself living here for very long".

"In the last game [against Bournemouth] I think I missed one [chance] when I didn't have too much space, and another when [Asmir] Begovic made a good save".

Morata has scored seven goals and produced three assists in 12 appearances in all competitions.

Alvaro Morata has an average shot accuracy of 65 per cent in the Premier League this season.

"We started talking about my eventual transfer last spring and I finally came to London". I should never have left Italy and Juve.

"I really like London and if I improve, probably I can stay here more than five years".

And he will be aiming to build on that tally when the Blues face Roma in the Champions League tomorrow (7.45pm).

"There were contractual agreements to respect, but the disappointment was enormous, I found myself right back where I had started".

He also revealed that other than Conte, the collection of Spaniards already in west London and wife Alice's desire to live in the capital were vital in his choice of clubs.

"They treated me like the guy I was before my two seasons in Italy".
