But as the National Basketball Association players deplaned after landing in Chicago early Saturday after a bumpy flight to Midway, they took to social media demanding answers to an entirely different question.

The cause of the damage is now unknown, but the Thunder's flight landed at Chicago Midway International Airport at approximately 12:46 a.m. CT.

Per Young, a Thunder official said there was nothing "extreme or out of the ordinary" about the flight that would have led to the plane's nose being damaged.

Iraq's Kurds offer to 'freeze' results of independence vote
Iraq is one of the only countries in the world that is closely allied to both the United States and Iran. Though the vote was non-binding, it has roiled tensions with the central government and the region.

A spokesperson for the Oklahoma City Thunder told The Oklahoman newspaper that all of its players, staff and coaches were safe. She said the Boeing 757-200 landed safely at Midway.

Several starts posted photos of the plane after landing, and asked what caused the incident.

In a statement to the Oklahoman, Delta Airlines moved to quash speculation by saying the plane likely came in contact with "a bird". Friday night, Minnesota survived 119-116, as Carmelo Anthony missed a would-be game-tying three-pointer with seconds left on the clock. "Safety is Delta's top priority". Anthony wrote on Instagram before reassuring his fans that the team made it safely to the ground. The team will play the Chicago Bulls Saturday evening.
