Four other vehicles also were damaged by rocks dropped from the overpass, said authorities.

Pickell did not say whether anyone was injured in that incident.

White's family told NBC affiliate WDIV of Detroit that they are heartbroken by the 32-year-old's death.

Police said White was riding in a vehicle that night when he was struck in the head and chest by "a very large rock" thrown from the Dodge Road overpass in Genesee County's Vienna Township. It is reported as though Kyle Anger, the eldest of the group, was the one to throw the rock that took Ken White's life.

They will be charged with one count of second-degree murder (which is punishable by up to life in prison), one count of conspiracy to commit second-degree murder, six felony counts of malicious destruction of property and two misdemeanor counts of malicious destruction of property.

"I don't blame myself [for] what happened; I blame myself like I couldn't do enough", Amthor said.

Amthor told WNEM, "We were less than five miles from his house".

United should have had a third when Nordfeldt could only palm down McTominay's header and Tuanzebe blazed over from close range. In the 96th minute, the England youth global headed home from a corner to put Arsenal ahead for the first time in the tie.

The teens are accused of standing at an Interstate 75 overpass in Vienna Township, about 80 miles north of Detroit, on October 18 and throwing rocks at passing cars.

Crawford II, who denied them bail of any kind, citing "the seriousness of the nature of these charges and the danger to the public", according to a court transcript. "Next thing you know, I'm pulled over trying to keep him from bleeding out", he said.

Amthor said he and White became friends three years ago when White moved to the area and was looking for a job.

After the arrests, White's fiancee Cagle told ABC12 that she hoped the teenagers realize what they had done, "how many lives they torn apart, and know that what they did was wrong". "I think that's what hurts the worst".

Aimee Cagle, White's fiancée, told ABC 12 their son has been asking for his father.

"I will do everything I can to see that his son is taken care of", Amthor said. "I try to explain. What if they're afraid of the older kid and they're standing there, does that make them a murderer?"
