Who's moron here? Trump teases Tillerson over IQ

President Donald Trump weighed in again on an NBC report that Secretary of State Rex Tillerson called him a "moron" - and suggested an IQ test.

"I think it's fake news".

Speaking at a daily press conference, White House press secretary Sarah Sanders later said Trump's "IQ tests" comment was "a joke and nothing more than that".

"I told Rex Tillerson, our wonderful Secretary of State, that he is wasting his time trying to negotiate with Little Rocket Man", Mr Trump tweeted earlier this month, referring to North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.

The organisation, which "provides a forum for intellectual exchange" among its members, requires an admissions test score which puts the applicant in the "upper two percent of the general population". It was a potentially awkward sit-down because of reports that Tillerson once called the president a "moron".

Whether or not these new players will attract an audience will likely depend on content, not distribution mechanism. Amazing Stories was an anthology series that told tales of the incredible, odd and/or supernatural variety .

Brown declined to say whether either party has taken an admission test before, but did name several former United States presidents, including Jimmy Carter, Bush Senior and Bill Clinton, whose academic backgrounds and non-political careers "would have propelled them into Mensa".

Nevertheless, something about the incident still seems to bother Trump, who was due to have lunch with Tillerson at the White House later on Tuesday.

In the Forbes interview, Trump also reacted to criticism that he has undermined Tillerson through his provocative posts on Twitter that have interfered directly with ongoing diplomatic efforts.

"I'm generally not going to make a lot of the appointments that would normally be - because you don't need them", Trump said. "I think I'm actually strengthening authority".
