City came close to striking a deal in the summer transfer window after agreeing a £60million fee with the Gunners, but the deal collapsed at the last minute as Thomas Lemar would not leave Monaco for the Emirates.

The Chile striker will be a free agent in the summer when his current contract expires at the Emirates.
