Making the Android One Moto X4 available to Fi customers exclusively makes sense for Motorola as the company has always been using stock Android for all its handsets.

It launches with Android 7 and will update to Android 8 before year-end, and Google said it will also be one of the first to get Android 9 next year. This device is a Project Fi exclusive in the US. The phone will have Android Nougat out of the box, but Google has confirmed it'll receive Android 8.0 Oreo before this year ends.
