Senate Republicans are facing a September 30 deadline to pass a repeal of former President Barack Obama's Affordable Care Act and avoid a filibuster from Democrats. Conservative senators Mike Lee (R-Utah) and Ted Cruz (R-Texas) haven't said definitively whether they will support or oppose the bill, with Lee showing more openness on this legislation that prior efforts.

Republicans latest attempt to repeal the Affordable Care Act, also called Obamacare, includes several provisions that would dramatically affect women's health care.

Bill Cassidy (R-La.) on Tuesday night over the Republican's role in the revival of an Obamacare repeal bill now making its way through the Senate. "But because this already exists people are saying, 'Oh well, it's better than what we've got'".

But Republicans have just two weeks to pass a repeal plan in both the House and the Senate if they want it approved by a simple majority and right now no Democrats are supporting the bill.

During his program Tuesday, Kimmel pointed to the efforts of three Republican senators, John McCain of Arizona, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska and Susan Collins of ME, to help defeat the latest effort to repeal the Affordable Care Act. But he says he won't back it because it would take money away from New Jersey and other states that expanded Medicaid.

"If you asked any conservative up here-'Would you vote for a brand new trillion dollars in taxes, trillion dollars in spending and then we'll call it federalism by redistributing it and giving it out to the states?'-most people would laugh at you".

McCain will be one of the most closely watched votes on Cassidy-Graham, along with Sens.

"I support a plan that responsibly and adequately funds block grants to states and provides maximum flexibility and control to states", Haslam added.

A bipartisan group of governors has declared their opposition to a Republican healthcare bill aimed at replacing Obamacare.
