She said "there will be no further defense engagement or military training" with Myanmar until the crisis ends.

The leader of a team of United Nations human rights investigators said Tuesday that comments by Myanmar leader Aung San Suu Kyi "bode well" for its so-far unsuccessful efforts to gain access to the country now facing an exodus of Rohingya Muslims to neighboring Bangladesh.

The Nobel Peace laureate's remarks came in her first address to the nation since attacks by Rohingya Muslim insurgents on August 25 sparked a military response that has forced 421,000 Rohingya Muslims into neighbouring Bangladesh.

She said "the great majority of Muslims in Rakhine state have not joined the exodus" and invited worldwide officials to visit the state to "learn more from the Muslims who have integrated successfully".

Deen Mohammed Noori from the Bradford based Arakan Rohingya Organisation said the United Kingdom was continuing to provide military training to troops in the country, despite the wave wave of violence that has left hundreds dead, thousands of homes burned, and tens of thousands fleeing to Bangladesh.

The NGO said it analyzed satellite imagery from between August 25 and September 16 showing more than 220 villages burned to the ground.

Ms Suu Kyi did not mention the Rohingya by name in yesterday's speech, but did address their potential return.

At its March session, the council agreed to "dispatch urgently" a fact-finding mission to look into alleged human rights violations and abuses by the military and security forces, particularly in Rakhine state where many Rohingya live.

Among the worst hit is the small country Antigua and Barbuda , as the island of Barbuda is now totally unfit for life. It's planning to use unmanned aerial vehicles to help assess what's needed for rebuilding Barbuda .

"In light of the ongoing violence in Burma's Rakhine State, the growing humanitarian crisis it has caused, and our deep concern about the human rights abuses that are taking place, we have made a decision to suspend the educational courses provided to the Burmese military until there is an acceptable resolution to the current situation", the spokesman said in a statement.

Suu Kyi has been strongly criticize by the worldwide community for failing to speak up publicly for the stateless Rohingya or to urge restraint on the military.

Nyan Win, a central executive committee of the ruling National League for Democracy party, said as there are thousands of refugees in Bangladesh they need documents of their refugee status from Myanmar to accept them. If what she said is not a lie then let the world media in, so that they can see whether we are tortured or we are happy.

"What Suu Kyi told her people and the world is a complete lie".

Suu Kyi said she is aware that the world's attention is now focused on Myanmar, however, she claimed her government does not fear worldwide scrutiny. "Many people would have lost their documents in the fires, and many children were already unregistered", she said.

"There is overwhelming evidence that security forces are engaged in a campaign of ethnic cleansing", Gomez said.

Spokesman Joel Millman of the International Organization for Migration says an estimated 20,000 people are flowing across Myanmar's border into Bangladesh every day.

Many of these refugees said their houses were attacked, looted and set afire by the security forces. Hundreds of thousands more Rohingya were already in Bangladesh from waves of violence years earlier.
