In a phone call on Monday, Mr Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping discussed the situation on the Korean peninsula, with the Chinese leader saying that both countries shared extensive common interests, Chinese official news agency Xinhua reports.

The North wants its neighbor to end its military drills with the United States, saying such joint exercises are rehearsals for a war against North Korea.

A sixth nuclear test was also conducted earlier this month, when Kim Jong-Un's tyrannical regime tested what it termed a hydrogen bomb many times more powerful than its previous device.

The U.S. dispatched four F-35Bs and two B-1Bs late last month in the wake of the North's ballistic missile launch.

China and Russian Federation have begun a naval military maneuver near North Korea, reports Reuters.

Japan on Tuesday moved a mobile missile- defence system on the northern island of Hokkaido to a base near recent North Korean missile flyover routes.

The KCNA said Kim expressed great satisfaction over the launch, which he said verified the "combat efficiency and reliability" of the missile and the success of efforts to increase its power.

Recently, the US and its vassal forces rigged up the UNSC "resolution 2375" on sanctions harsher than ever against the DPRK branding its measures to strengthen the state nuclear force as "a threat" to worldwide peace and security, and released a UNSC "press statement" calling for the implementation of the "resolution" as a follow-up.

Defense Secretary Jim Mattis said Friday that North Korea continues to deepen its diplomatic and economic isolation with its provocative actions.

Kim had told his top officials that the goal of Pyongyang's efforts "is to establish the equilibrium of real force with the USA and make the U.S. rulers dare not talk about military option", according to the nation's state media.

The true intention of the U.S.is to appease the opposition from several countries against the escalation of tension and the outbreak of war in the Korean peninsula and the region and involve them in the sanctions and pressure campaign against the DPRK by all means.
