Patty Jenkins Wonder Woman 2 Deal Makes Her Highest Paid Female Director Report

Nearly a month after it was reported that Patty Jenkins was "closing a deal" to direct Wonder Woman 2, that deal has finally, actually closed. (The film has a 2019 release date.) Jenkins' return, however, remained unclear as it was reported the director was seeking a pay raise, which she undoubtedly deserved given the film's massive success. Varietybroke the news, saying that "While an exact number could not be unveiled, sources say the number is in the $8 million dollar range to write, direct and produce, making her the highest paid female director of all time". Representatives for Jenkins and Warner Bros. have not yet responded to Vanity Fair's request for comment. It looks like Jenkins was successful in her quest.

The full blooper reel is included in the "Wonder Woman" DVD extras, which comes out on Tuesday, Sept. 19.

Wonder Woman 2 is slated to hit theaters on Dec 13, 2019.
