He orchestrated a 12-play, 75-yard drive that took almost six minutes off the clock and culminated with his touchdown run from 10 yards out. However, the defenses settled in after those opening touchdowns, and Oakland carrried a 13-10 lead into halftime.

Both guys returned against one another in Week 1 of the 2017 National Football League season and both had nice moments ... but it was a 27-year-old rookie kicker from Italy who stole the show in a 26-16 Raiders win.

Speaking of debuts, Marshawn Lynch played his first regular season game for the Silver and Black, finishing with 76 yards on 18 carries. It wasn't a spectacular game or anything, but it was a good performance for somebody who took an entire season off. Let's hope this doesn't come back to bite the Raiders in the back end when the game draws to a conclusion Sunday afternoon.

The Raiders used Lynch sparingly early in the game.

The first quarter set the tone of the Oakland Raiders vs Tennessee Titans game until it slowed a little bit.

Days after reworking his deal with the #Oakland Raiders, kicker #Sebastian Janikowski has been placed on injured reserve due to a back injury. Although the former Cal player has never played in a regular-season game, he has spent time in the Raiders' camp the past four preseasons.

However, the former Crusader's trip to the end zone would be the only TD of the day for the Titans, who settled for three field goals through the next three quarters. The second, a contested ball he probably should have won from Adoree' Jackson. He finished the day with four tackles. The Titans put up 350 yards and converted seven of their 14 third-down attempts, but that was after they went 5-of-6 on third down in the first half. To see that kind of defensive effort against a solid rushing attack in Tennessee was outstanding.

As beginnings go, it was an even better one for Giorgio Tavecchio. Oakland's defense allowed 350 total yards, 25 less than last season's average.
