Rohingya crisis Nobel institute clarifies on Suu Kyi’s prize revocation

"The world is waiting and the Rohingya Muslims are waiting".

Tutu has urged his fellow Nobel peace prize victor to intervene.

"They announce themselves as the "Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army, ' and carry out extremist terrorist acts".

This is the message from Desmond Tutu to Aung San Suu Kyi, over the handling of Myanmar violence.

The report said that Tohar has been trained in Pakistan by Lashkar e Tayyaba and while the Bangladesh government is also anxious about these terror links, a lack of an intelligence sharing network between India, Bangladesh and Myanmar may have prevented the latter from getting prior warning of the threat.

'The images we are seeing of the suffering of the Rohingya fill us with pain and dread.

Nay Myo Zin said the violence has been caused by "illegal immigrants to Myanmar from Bangladesh", who are attacking local people in Rakhine state.

With recent reports of some Rohingya men in Bangladesh sneaking across the border to join the insurgents fighting in Rakhine, Neelakantan warns, "The [Myanmar] military and government should be careful not to assume all Rohingya are sympathisers or supporters [of jihadists]".

But the disproprotionate response by the Myanmar military and a deliberate effort to sweep the country clean of Rohingyas - not to mention the innocents killed, raped, and driven out of their ancestral homes - is overkill.

"There are also those among us who have been saying this is an ethnic rather than a religious conflict and therefore that we do not, as Muslims, need to be concerned".

Meanwhile, Police have pinned their hopes on the CCTV footage to get some clues about the identity of the killers. Gadkari went on to defend Prime Minister Narendra Modi against criticism on his silence over the killing.

The Dalai Lama, the exiled Tibetan spiritual leader, urged support for the Rohingya.

Murphy further said they are very concerned by the "sustained allegations of abuses" that are resulting in the displacement of many.

Malaysia's Prime Minister Najib Razak complained Friday of the burden his country bears in caring for many Rohingya.

"If the political price of your ascension to the highest office in Myanmar is your silence, the price is surely too steep", Tutu said in his statement.

We gathered courage from Aung San Suu Kyi's struggle to bring democracy in her country. "But the US-led Atlantic World, as they say in America, 'has her back, '" he stated.

We hope Aung San Suu Kyi will take immediate steps to stop the killing while they are hopefully trying to find a negotiated peaceful resolution to end the genocide and humanitarian crisis facing the Rakhine Muslims in Sittwe. She is at best a coward and worst a villain of the worst kind. For a leader who is the state counsellor and enjoys more power than the President, how can she remain silent about the inhuman way in which the military is committing mass murder?

State Department officials, however, say they've been in regular contact with Myanmar's government, primarily through USA envoy Scot Marciel.

"It is clear that the military want to drive out Muslim people from these areas but Daw Suu's government has not allowed it to do so", Sithu Aung Myint, a prominent political commentator based in Yangon, told Quartz.

National security adviser U Thaung Tun said the ARSA attacks had "serious implications not only for the country but the region and beyond".

Nay Myo Zin, a student at Myanmarese diplomatic academy, gave Radio Sputnik his take on the outbreak of violence in Rakhine State.
