Temple Student Jenna Burleigh Missing

Investigators believe Jenna Burleigh was killed in Philadelphia - but her body was brought more than 100 miles away to Wayne County where the suspects grandmother lives.

A Philadelphia man accused of killing a Temple University student and leaving her body in Wayne County has a history of run-ins with law enforcement in the Scranton area.

Philadelphia police say the body of a missing Temple University student has been found and a man will be charged in her death.

When Temple University student Natalie Abulhawa met Joshua Hupperterz for the first time previous year, he asked her if she wanted to hang out with him.

He was arraigned early Sunday on murder and several other charges.

It's unclear of Hupperterz has an attorney, according to court documents. A message left at a number listed in his name wasn't immediately returned.

Jenna Burleigh has been missing since early Thursday morning, Temple Police said. Police found the woman's body on a lakefront property belonging to Hupperterz's grandmother in Paupack.

Multiple news outlets also reported Saturday that police began searching a home along the 800 block of Waverly Avenue in Jenkintown, according to multiple reports.

"We still don't even know the cause of death", Philadelphia police commissioner Richard Ross said.

It unclear if the driver, who has not been identified, knew what Hupperterz was transporting.

"Our Beautiful Angel Jenna is now in Heaven". Hupperterz was caught on Friday, in Hawley, Pennsylvania.

Burleigh's dad, Ed Burleigh, posted a sad message on his Facebook page on Saturday, saying: "Our Beautiful Angel Jenna is now in Heaven".

Hupperterz admitted to "elements of the crime" in a partial confession, Philadelphia police Capt. John Ryan, commanding officer of the homicide unit, said Saturday night, according to Philly.com.

"[Her] father, who last had dinner with his daughter, it really breaks your heart to hear. that was the last time he saw her".

"She literally started classes on Monday", Betzner told the news organization.

"Our deepest sympathies go out to Jenna's family and her classmates, both here at Temple and at Montgomery County Community College", reads a statement from Temple University.

Burleigh, of Harleysville, transferred to Temple last week from Montgomery County Community College and was a commuter student.
