ABC, Buena Vista and Touchstone are also named in the complaint.

Bill Nye The Science Guy isn't happy about how Disney's handled his money, so he chose to sue the company and its subsidiaries for more than $37 million, Deadline reports. But according to a lawsuit filed this week, Nye is going to attempt to school Disney just like he schooled you in the wonderful rules that govern this fantastic universe of ours. He received checks over the years for his share of the net profits without incident.

The dispute stems from the royalties Nye said he was supposed to make from the show, which the lawsuit, posted online by Deadline, says was supposed to be 16.5 percent of the net profits.

Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor: Big deal or big hype?
He is coming out of two years of inactivity to fight McGregor, the UFC star who is 21-3 as a professional. "I've been here before, I know what it takes to win a fight of this magnitude", Mayweather said.

The exchange reportedly made Nye suspicious, and he subsequently called for an audit of Disney's books, which was conducted in 2016.

The auditor, according to the complaint, found that BVT applied incorrect rates for distribution fees, mischaracterized revenues, didn't report royalties and improperly deducted foreign taxes.

The "defendants failed to engage in the process in good faith", says the suit, which accuses the companies of engaging in "an ongoing, deliberate conspiracy to deceive Mr. Nye".

Nye's representative and Disney's have not responded to a request for comment. What followed, the suit says, was a series of obstructions and empty promises of information that ultimately prevented Nye's auditor from completing the audit-still, based on what information they do have, Nye's suit claims that, House Mouse owes the scientist at least $9.3 million, and that in total, the company withheld about $28 million from the show's owners in total. The host is suing for fraudulent concealment, fraudulent inducement, breach of contract, and breach of fiduciary duty, among other claims, and is looking to earn back the money he is owed along with punitive damages.
