Amazon is wasting no time putting its stamp on Whole Foods.

Here are the changes that are coming to a Whole Foods near you, in greater detail.

Amazon's high-priced purchase of Whole Foods will mean noticeable discounts on premium groceries. For instance, Amazon said it will offer reduced prices starting Monday on a selection of organic grocery items within Whole Foods stores, including avocados, eggs, salmon and tilapia, ground beef, almond butter and apples.

After shareholders approved its almost $14 billion buyout of organic grocer Whole Foods on Wednesday, Amazon announced it'll be slashing prices on a myriad of items in its stores. Whole Foods' private brands also will be available through each of the platforms. "Everybody should be able to eat Whole Foods Market quality - we will lower prices without compromising Whole Foods Market's long-held commitment to the highest standards".

"The two companies will invent in additional areas over time, including in merchandising and logistics, to enable lower prices for Whole Foods Market customers", Amazon says in a release.

Whole Foods will also soon offer special discounts to Amazon Prime members, and its private-label products will be sold across Amazon platforms.

So now we know what Amazon.com (amzn) had in mind when it said in June it was buying Whole Foods Market in a $13.7 billion deal.

And Amazon Lockers will be placed in "select" Whole Foods stores.

Wilke added that reduced prices are only the beginning for Whole Foods, as Amazon also plans to replace the grocery chain's rewards program with Amazon Prime once it can be integrated with Whole Foods' point-of-sale system.

With the blessing of both shareholder bases and the Federal Trade Commission, Amazon will complete its purchase of Whole Foods on August 28, according to a Thursday joint press release.

Still, Whole Foods continued to lose sales and shopper surveys have shown that many customers believe the chain is too expensive.

Although Whole Foods accounts for only an estimated 1.2 percent of the United States food and grocery market, the deal has been seen as a disruptor within the food shopping business, accelerating competition for home-delivered groceries.
