KFC unleashes VR training game about cooking fried chicken

That's inspecting, rinsing, breading, racking, and pressure-frying - if you were wondering. A robot servant comes to help, but the Colonel assures the employee that they will never, not ever, be replaced by robots.

KFC decided the best way to teach new employees how to cook its Original Recipe chicken was to place them in a "delicious prison" and get them to learn "the hard way".

"Release the birds!" Colonel Sanders bellows as a packet of chicken drops from the ceiling. Brands - which owns KFC, Taco Bell and Pizza Hut - read: "KFC will use the VR simulation to supplement its robust, multi-step employee programme, called Chicken Master Certification, which provides detailed eLeading and hands-on training for cooks in each of KFC's kitchen".

Ashwani Lohani is new Railway Board chairman
He was scheduled to retire in 2018 and would have been the longest serving chairman of the Railway Board if he had continued. The Utkal Express accident was the result of the train derailing as it sped past a station where the tracks were under fix .

A video of a full play-through is available on Eater's website. Thus, one probably wouldn't want to be locked up forever with someone so creepy. Running of an Oculus Rift, the game takes the user through the five-step process of preparing an Original Recipe chicken. The press release states that this VR process is much faster at training staff, taking them through the process in 10 minutes (as opposed to the 25 minutes it'd take in real life). Now the fast food giant is putting its chicken into a different reality.

"The game is meant to supplement the existing Chicken Mastery program, not replace it", said a KFC representative. The fast food chain has over 19,000 cooks across all of its USA locations, and the spokesperson described the KFC VR training game "a fun way to celebrate the work" all those workers do. It will be interesting to see just how long this game lasts and whether it leads to the types of food-borne illness problems Chipotle Mexican Grill has dealt with.
