Taylor Swift Might Be Appearing on 'GMA' Later This Month!

Singer Taylor Swift arrives at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party in Beverly Hills, California February 28, 2016. However, it looks like things are about to change.

While Swift going dark is certainly a very curious choice, we're hoping it means that she is in fact going to return to social media with good news...and new music! The "Shake It Off" singer has taken down all of her posts on Instagram, leaving nothing but a verified account with no photos.

The pop star has not released music since 2014, the same year that her last chart-topping album 1989 was released. "Taylor Swift is suddenly gone. what is happening?"

Taylor Swift has quietly deleted a slew of content from her social media accounts.

But Swift's sudden disappearance from social media doesn't seem to have a connection to the lawsuit. Even her official website was entirely blacked out as of Friday morning.

First human case of West Nile virus in OH for 2017 confirmed
As The Prowers Journal reports, a horse in Larimer County was diagnosed with the virus earlier this month. Over 60 mosquitoes and 30 birds have been tested and the results turned out to be WNV positive.

The 27-year-old singer won a monumental sexual assault case earlier this week after former radio DJ David Mueller was found guilty of groping Swift at a concert back in 2013.

"She's aiming to release an album this fall", the source said.

A rep for Swift did not immediately respond to PEOPLE's request for comment.

Others wondered if she had been hacked, while some thought the country-turned-pop star might be planning an image makeover. An insider reportedly claimed that the pair had been working on tunes that were "different" than Swift fans were used to, but maintained the new stuff was still "catchy".
