Three crew members set for launch to International Space Station on Friday

Three men left Earth on Friday headed towards the International Space Station (ISS).

NASA's Randy Bresnik, Russia's Sergei Ryazansky and Italy's Paolo Nespoli blasted off from the Russia-leased launch pad in Kazakhstan at 21:41 p.m. Friday. With the space station orbiting Earth every 92 minutes, ISS crew will get multiple chances to catch the four-hour eclipse on August 21. Ryazansky, who is from Russian Federation, is the most experienced one among the three.

After launching, the trio will travel for six hours in the Soyuz MS-05 spacecraft before docking to the space station's Rassvet module at 6 p.m. NASA TV coverage of the docking will begin at 5:15 p.m.

Senate Rejects Obamacare 'Repeal and Delay' Proposal
Judy Eledge, president of the Alaska Republican Women's Club, slammed Murkowski for refusing to vote on an outright repeal. Then they would attempt to hammer out a more comprehensive repeal and replace proposal in the conference with the House.

Throughout the NASA broadcast, Public Affairs spokesperson Dan Huot said ground control in Houston and Moscow were "continuing to get good reports", and confirmed "we had a successful launch". Nespoli is an Italian astronaut with the European Space Agency (ESA).

As per NASA, they will continue work on hundreds of experiments in biology, biotechnology, physical science and Earth science aboard the space station.

NASA will start sending astronauts up to the station using ships developed by SpaceX and Boeing by the end of next year. This is Whitson's third long-duration stay on the International Space Station - she will have spent more than 650 days in space by the time she returns to Earth in September.
