Trump Appears to Confirm He Is Under Investigation

After meeting with Mueller in a classified session, the leaders of the Senate panel indicated that their inquiry would steer clear of obstruction of justice to focus instead on Russian Federation meddling in the elections - and whether there was any Trump campaign collusion with officials tied to the Kremlin.

Trump surrogates have followed the president's line of criticism, which has propagated across cable news and conservative publications.

Mr Comey, who had been leading one of several Russian Federation inquiries, testified to Congress last week that the president had pressured him to drop the inquiry into Mr Flynn.

As time passed and public suspicion grew in the Russian Federation probe, particularly because of Trump's firing of Comey, Rosenstein responded with the appointment of Mueller.

Accusations of obstruction arose last month when Trump fired former Federal Bureau of Investigation director James Comey.

Trump again took to Twitter following the reports of Pence hiring a lawyer, suggesting Hillary Clinton should be the one under investigation.

"They made up a phony collusion with the Russians story, found zero proof, so now they go for obstruction of justice on the phony story. Witch Hunt", the president wrote in his tweet. The FBI is also looking into the financial activity of Michael Flynn, Paul Manafort, and Carter Page, the Post says, and all of them have been cut loose from team Trump.

Oil remains below $45 amid growing concern over U.S. supply glut
The IEA said on Wednesday it expected growth in non-OPEC supply to be higher next year than growth in overall global demand. The move is meant to drain the market of excess supply.

In its report, the Post did not cite the names of any governmental employees as sources and the inputs were attributed to "U.S. officials familiar with the matter". The New York Times also reported the story.

Cullen, who supported Trump's rival Jeb Bush during the race for the Republican presidential nomination, also represented Tom DeLay, a Texas Republican and former majority leader of the US House of Representatives, during the investigation into corrupt Washington lobbyist Jack Abramoff.

Robert Mueller speaks during a farewell ceremony in Mueller's honor at the Department of Justice on August 1, 2013. Nor did he deny that he has entered the miniscule ranks of sitting presidents who have become subjects of criminal investigations. Rosenstein in a memo to Trump raised concerns over FBI Director James Comey. Dianne Feinstein, the panel's top Democrat.

Trump fired Comey on May 9, but later in an interview on NBC said that the Russian Federation probe was on his mind when he made the decision to fire Comey.

"You and I agree that the American people deserve a full accounting of attempts to meddle in both our democratic processes and the impartial administration of justice ..."

"I think I better wait until I get done with my conversations with Feinstein before I answer that question", Grassley said when asked if the committee would look into obstruction.
