Afghan soldier attacks foreign soldiers, wounding 4

The Resolute Support mission announced on its Twitter feed that seven USA service members were wounded but said there were no US fatalities.

At a base in Afghanistan the attack killed at least four American soldiers.

The injured troops have been evacuated for treatment, the mission said in a statement.

"We are aware of an incident", the office said in a statement.

NATO-led Resolute Support said US soldiers were wounded in the incident at Camp Shaheen in Mazar-e-Sharif at 2 p.m. Western officials say most insider attacks stem from personal grudges and cultural misunderstandings rather than insurgent plots. A fourth USA solider was wounded in that attack.

If confirmed, the insider attack would be the second in a week in Afghanistan.

Tennessee man: Fugitive inmates surrendered without a word
They ultimately left the truck in Tennessee and stole a white sedan, which they abandoned near the hostages' home, Swing said. Law enforcement officials earlier captured Donnie Rowe and Ricky Dubose, two escaped inmates wanted in the slayings of two G.

Earlier reports suggested United States soldiers had been killed, but officials said that was not the case.

About a week ago three members of USA troops were killed when an Afghan soldier opened fire.

A Taliban spokesman praised the attack but did not claim responsibility. The attackers were disguised in Afghan army uniforms.

A massive attack in April on the same Shaheen base by Taliban militants left scores of Afghan soldiers dead.

US President Donald Trump is learned to have delegated authority on the number of troops in Afghanistan to Defense Secretary Jim Mattis. There has been no causality reported by the US Troops.
