Officers in Centerville, Illinois - just outside St. Louis - were led to the gruesome discovery when the woman went to a Las Vegas women's shelter Monday for help.

The woman also told police that her husband forced her into sex trafficking over the past two years.

"If she didn't call the police, we never would have known", said Parker, who has lived nearby with his wife for more than 40 years. She said Quate killed one of their children and left the body in a container in the garage of a Centreville home.

ST. LOUIS (AP) - Police in IL believe the remains of a child found in the garage of a vacant home had been there four years and are investigating the death as a homicide.

They are investigating the death as a homicide.

Police say the woman told them Quate was responsible for the death of her 6-year old child in 2015 and told instigators the body could be found in the garage of a Centreville, IL home on Russell Ave.

Don't expect to see Kaepernick on an NFL field soon
In terms of Russell, we have raised Russell from a neophyte in this program, and he has done an extraordinary job for us. Nor, it seems, has it altered his behind-the-scenes regimen of offseason preparation in Southern California.

"Obviously, I'm the victim here", he said. She also said he had forced her into sex trafficking over the past two years and had abused two other children. He says his wife found the garage to dump the body. Investigators believe the child was killed in Belleville, Illinois, in 2013.

The couples neighbor says one thing she can't figure out is how that little girl's body ended up so far from this Belleville home.

A search warrant was served in Las Vegas, and early Tuesday morning, Quate was arrested on sex trafficking charges. Belleville police said in a statement that a team of officers was sent to Las Vegas to coordinate the investigation. He described them as pale and lacking socialization skills, and said officers observed signs of abuse. Police said the girls were never allowed outside, even to attend school.

The victim told police she and Quate met in IL but had moved to Las Vegas. She said officers met to discuss the "extremely disturbing" child death case Tuesday, but would not give details.

Quate has not been charged in the death of his daughter. He's jailed in Las Vegas.

Police said Quate's daughters have been placed in protective custody. He told the Post-Dispatch that he had lied to the TV station and that his wife had come up with the adoption story after their daughter died. And he says it was his wife's idea to move to Las Vegas and become a prostitute. Neighbors said they didn't have a clue as to what was happening in the home.
