In the race to fill the board seats a surprised Casey was the big vote getter accumulating 2,301 votes. David Harvatine received 216 votes, and Dean Winspear received 176.

The Broadalbin-Perth Central School District's proposed $34.7 million budget passed by a vote of 586-350. School officials said 63 affidavit votes would be verified on Wednesday and a victor would be declared.

"We're not increasing taxes for '17-'18, but we're able to increase our programming significantly in our schools, which is a very proud feat for the Board of Education and administration", Brucato said at the budget adoption meeting. "What the school does, it asks the entire community and the vote shows the community was appreciative". The budget passed by a vote of 324-70. Michelle Lyon (364) and Jim Struble (334) won the two available three-years terms on the school board.

The Port Byron budget was approved by a vote of 226-106. If the proposition fails, the money will remain in the fund balance. The single school board candidate, Karl Gockel, got 115.

In their vote, 202 voted "yes" and 156 voted "no". The school board seats went to Donald Chirlin, with 369, and Brian Reid, with 396.

Voters also approved establishing a capital reserve fund, with 588 voters supporting the measure and 135 opposed. Voters approved the budget, with 261 voting in favor and 69 voting against. A proposition concerning funding for the Aurora Free Library and Hazard Library passed 378-130. Voters approved the budget, with 390 voting in favor and 142 voting against. Christian Brunelle (280), David Gallaro (337) and Lisa Long (351) were elected to three-year terms.

District residents on April 4 voted down the $6.8 million capital project, which included the purchase of almost 14 acres of land adjacent to the school for the construction of an athletic complex and nature pavilion, by a tally of 200 to 130. The two school board seats are going to Timothy Hayes and Gillian Spencer, with 283 and 280 votes, respectively. However, school board members ultimately voted to not make it up due to still having the adequate number of required instruction days without making it up.

Margaretville budget also passes 93-82, with the bus position passing 82-35. Richard Carlson, the current board president, received 294 votes and was not re-elected.
