Arsenal keep the pressure on Liverpool in Champions League race

Liverpool travel to West Ham on Sunday before hosting already-relegated Middlesbrough in their final game of the season.

The league's rules state: "If at the end of the season either the league champions or the clubs to be relegated or the question of qualification for other competitions can not be determined because two or more clubs are equal on points, goal difference and goals scored, the clubs concerned shall play off one or more deciding league matches on neutral grounds, the format, timing and venue of which shall be determined by the board". However, should Arsenal win their game in hand and Liverpool slip up in their remaining two matches, a final play-could be needed.

The Gunners must win their last four games and hope Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United drop points in order to upset the odds and extend their Champions League qualification streak to 21 seasons.

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho says he sees no honour or prestige in finishing in the top four of the Premier League.

Jurgen Klopp feels Liverpool have the quality to qualify for the Champions League ahead of their match versus West Ham.

Showers and Storms Return Tonight and Tomorrow
Once all of this clears, Mother's Day on Sunday look sunny and dry for all of our area! Monday will be sunny and warm. Temperatures are expected to rise the low 70s by Tuesday , near 80 on Wednesday and mid to upper 80s on Thursday .

The 24-year-old has been an important figure for the Tigers this season, but remains fully focused on helping them avoid relegation this season as they sit in the bottom three with just two games to go.

"I think the big difference between us and Chelsea this season is that we had a bad period in January/February, we lost games we shouldn't have lost at the time", he said. We have 69 points today - let's make it 72 on Tuesday (when Arsenal host Sunderland), and after that I will give my best as long as I am here for the values of this club.

"In a year you can learn a lot, " said the Netherlands midfielder.

"It doesn't matter who you play - you can win against anyone, you can lose against anyone".

"It was an open game but then in the second half we managed to come out and just keep playing our game, waiting and being patient until the opportunity came".
