Showers and Storms Return Tonight and Tomorrow

Storms should be few and far between Friday afternoon after a dry morning.

Tomorrow (Saturday): The steadiest rain is likely in the morning and winding down toward midday, but it's a good bet we keep seeing some rain into and through the afternoon. Temperatures are expected to rise the low 70s by Tuesday, near 80 on Wednesday and mid to upper 80s on Thursday.

A chance for scattered showers and a possible storm as we head overnight, otherwise, we'll see mostly cloudy skies with lows in the mid 50s. Rain will start off light then become steadier and heavier late this afternoon and evening.

Humidity levels this weekend will be low, but will go up next week as the storm track gets active.

Spotty showers are expected this weekend with highs in the 50s and 60s. Temperatures today will be 10 degrees cooler in the afternoon, right near average in the low 70s.

WARMER NEXT WEEK: Clouds begin Monday, especially east, but the day is drier with increasing sunshine.

Wet weather may put a damper on outdoor events for at least the first half of this weekend across North Carolina.
