Uzma's lawyer Malik Shah Nawaz Noon and First Secretary at the Indian High Commission Piyush Singh had filed the petition on her behalf with the Islamabad High Court.

Pakistani man Tahir Ali, who allegedly forced Indian national Uzma to marry him, filed a petition in the Islamabad High Court on Thursday to meet his Indian wife privately.

The IHC judge, terming it a serious violation of the court decorum, ordered the Indian diplomat to submit a written apology after Singh verbally apologised for the incident. Singh later issued a written apology, the report added.

Reportedly, the woman had on May 8 filed a plea with an Islamabad court against her husband, alleging that she was being harassed and intimidated by him.

"I fully apologise for the attempt of using mobile in court by mistake".

When courtroom officials brought the incident to the notice of the judge, he ordered confiscation of Singh's cellphone, PTI cited The Express Tribune as saying. India Today reports that the phone was seized after it was alleged that the first secretary was taking pictures inside the court premises.

On May 3, Uzma informed the magistrate that she was deceived, tortured and forced to sign marriage documents at gunpoint.

However, Ali claimed she knew about his marriage and children. "The problem is not related to her travel documents, but stems from legal issues", advisor to Pakistan Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz had said. However, her husband has confiscated all necessary travel documents in this regards and foreign ministry should be directed to issue her a duplicate copy of immigration form, petition added. On May 1, he said, she arrived at the Wagah border, where the petitioner received her and took her to his hometown. "He even stole my passport and travelling documents".

The request also asked the court to hold a hearing regarding the matter immediately. "I have requested the High Court to arrange a meeting with Uzma in a free environment", he told reporters.

Earlier this week, the Foreign Office (FO) said Uzma would only be repatriated back to India once all her legal requirements were completed.

Initially, he said, petitioner and others were asked to wait, but later the officials at the Indian High Commission called Uzma inside, and since, then the petitioner has not seen her.
