Health Care's New Litmus: Passing the 'Jimmy Kimmel Test'

Cassidy Health bill should pass 'Jimmy Kimmel test'

Kimmel made an impassioned plea on Monday night for keeping ObamaCare, revealing during a almost 13-minute monologue that his son was born with a heart defect. The "Jimmy Kimmel Live" monologue veered into political territory when he addressed National Institutes of Health funding and President Trump's vow to repeal and replace Obamacare.

Cassidy, who is a physician, months ago proposed his own bill to replace the Affordable Care Act along with Sen. "I want it to pass the Jimmy Kimmel test", Cassidy told CNN when asked if he could support a plan that included yearly or annual insurance caps.

Kristen Bell filled in for Jimmy Kimmel last week while he was taking care of his family and now she's giving an update on how they're doing. "I want it to pass the Jimmy Kimmel test", Cassidy said. Cassidy wants to make sure medical costs do not keep the seriously ill from necessary medical treatment.

Oil drops as OPEC loses control of narrative
The decline is being driven by expanding U.S. output before OPEC is set to decide whether to prolong its cuts. Stockpiles still stand at a near-record 527.8 million barrels and well above the five-year range.

The bill also would repeal Obamacare mandates that require individuals and business owners to buy insurance and shift health-care decisions to the states. "It works. That's how every big risk pool does it".

And it would appear that if one Republican senator has his say, the Senate bill will have the approval of a certain late-night TV host who has received a lot of attention lately. The measure now heads to the Senate where it is likely to face an uphill battle and substantial changes. Lindsey O. Graham, R-S.C., a co-sponsor of Cassidy and Collins's bill: "A bill - finalized yesterday, has not been scored, amendments not allowed, and 3 hours final debate - should be viewed with caution".

"We don't have a score on the House bill, but let's just speak to the positive".
