Bullet tears: Militants bid adieu to slain associate with gun salute



Director General of Police S P Vaid confirmed the death of the a policeman and added that indiscriminate firing by militants had led to the death of three civilians.

Fayaz was killed during a shootout between police and militants at Mirbazar area of Anantnag district Saturday evening.

"As the traffic was being cleared, terrorists fired indiscriminately", a police official said.

Sources said hundreds of people joined the funeral procession of the slain terrorist amid chanting of pro-freedom and anti-India slogans.
