The "Bachelorette" alum appeared in court yesterday morning, and was released after posting a $10,000 bond.

On Tuesday, the Buchanan County Sheriff's Office confirmed to Bustle that Chris Soules was arrested and charged for allegedly fleeing the scene of a fatal vehicle crash, which took place on Monday, April 24 near Aurora, Iowa.

As Crime Online previously reported, Soules was arrested late Monday night, hours after he allegedly rear-ended a tractor with his Chevy truck hours earlier in his hometown of Arlington, Iowa. He also added that the man was not conscious.

The dispatcher asked Soules if he knew CPR, but Soules said he didn't. The driver of the tractor, 66 year-old Kenneth Mosher of Aurora, died in the crash.

There are claims that indicate that Chris Soules slammed into the tractor and then fled the scene.

Prince's music sales, streams skyrocketed since his death
She says it's hard knowing that Prince is no longer here, but that "his spirit, his energy is still with us". It was a year ago Friday that Prince was found dead at Paisley Park of an accidental painkiller overdose.

The operator eventually tells Soules that law enforcement and an ambulance is on its way.

Chris Soules has been detained after being involved in a deadly vehicle accident.

Andi Dorfman, 30, refuses to condemn Chris Soules, 35, for his fatal auto accident. I've gotten to know Chris and he's just a great guy that loves people who is very honest and genuine. Mosher was transported to Mercy Hospital in Oelwein, Iowa, where he was pronounced dead. "He was devastated to learn that Kenneth Mosher, the other person in the accident, passed away", a statement via his rep, Stan Rosenfield, read.

"I believe it was a very tragic, sad accident that took the life of a guy that was just coming home from work". In addition, Mosher was also a family oriented man, with his wife Nancy, two sons and three grandchildren. "His thoughts and prayers are with Mr. Mosher's family". Soules made a social media post Monday, just a couple hours before the crash, showing him working in a farm field. Additional charges are possible, but the initial charge against Soules carries a penalty of up to five years in prison. Court records show that Soules has had some driving infractions in the past, including a 2006 conviction for operating while intoxicated.

Yes. The Buchanan County Sheriff's Office is continuing the investigation into the cause of the accident, and further charges may be pending. It's said that alcoholic beverage containers were found in the reality star's possession, which is especially problematic for him considering his history of drinking and driving.
