Chobani Sues Alex Jones, Claims He Spread Misinformation

Chobani Yogurt Company Sues Radio Host Alex Jones

One of the reporters in the video, David Knight, also repeats an false claim from Breitbart.com that Chobani's Twin Falls plant has brought "crime and tuberculosis" to the community, the suit says.

Chobani, an Idaho-based company that makes Greek yogurt, is suing Alex Jones by claiming that the notorious conspiracy theorist falsely linked the company, its owner Hamdi Ulukaya, and the community of Twin Falls to a sexual assault case that occurred in the area, according to a report by the Idaho Statesman. Despite his claims, there is no information to prove that George Soros is connected to Chobani's lawsuit against him.

"The defendants defamatory statements were created to cause — and did in fact cause — customers to call for a boycott of Chobani's products", the lawsuit stated. The company also wants InfoWars to acknowledge the false information - and says that Jones and InfoWars have ignored Chobani's repeated requests to take down the inaccurate coverage.

In June 2016, three boys sexually assaulted a 5-year-old girl in a Twin Falls apartment complex.

Chobani is seeking punitive damages worth at least $10,000.

After the video was shared on Twitter by PrisonPlanetTV, another Jones-affiliated site, a Twitter user responds that Chobani is "another product to boycott".

Cool and cloudy start to your weekend
Rain amounts will be less than a tenth of an inch and the showers should mostly clear out by Friday morning. After starting the day in the mid 50s, the temperature should push 80 degrees by Thursday afternoon.

Jones was laying out his theory that most people today are nothing more than children until they reach the age of 40 ... unlike himself, who achieved full manhood by the time he was 16 years old. While Soros is not named in any of the lawsuit paperwork, Alex claims that his sources in Washington, D.C., told him that Soros is involved.

Asked how that felt, she said, "I don't think I have a word for that ... to love your kids and have someone say that about you". The assault did happen-the boys pled guilty-but there's no evidence to suggest that the Chobani factory had anything to do with the children.

Jones and InfoWars "declined to remove the defamatory statements or publish a retraction", the suit says.

But "police and prosecutors said there was no rape", according to the Twin Falls Times-News.

The complaint mentions that Jones has made controversial statements in the past, including that the federal government was behind the Sandy Hook school shooting and 911, and notes that the Southern Poverty Law Center described Jones as "almost certainly the most prolific conspiracy theorist in contemporary America".
