Logan County Sheriff Damon Devereaux told NBC affiliate KFOR that the deputy was able to radio for help and gave investigators important details about the suspect.

A 45-year-old man is in custody after he shot a Logan County Sheriff's Deputy, who later died from his injuries, on Tuesday morning in Mulhall. There he stole another vehicle, which has since been found near Guthrie.

He appeared to be stable, and he was flown to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation is aiding in the search and Oklahoma City police have lent an air unit to the manhunt.

Rouhani: Iran needs no one's permission to build missile
Iran has since resumed selling oil and signed deals worth billions of dollars to replace its aging commercial airline inventory. The 12 per cent jobless rate and slow trickle down of benefits from the nuclear deal are seen as Rouhani's weak spots.

Authorities say LeForce drove the deputy's patrol auto to a convenience store near the town of Coyle about 25 miles away where he stole another vehicle, which has since been found near Guthrie, but LeForce remains at large.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol, along with Sheriff's deputies and other law enforcement, were positioned near County Road 76 and Post Road believing they were close to finding LeForce in the area.

The injured deputy's name was not immediately released, nor was his condition. Valencia said he's being taken to a hospital.

"He stole the deputy's patrol vehicle - ended up leaving it behind Smitty's Gas Station which is on Highway 33 west of Langston", Philippi said.
