HTC's second flagship for 2017 the one dubbed Ocean or HTC U has been rumored for quite some time.
While the HTC U Ultra is no slouch, the HTC U looks like it ought to be a bit higher-end thanks to its Snapdragon 835 processor. The photos show a black slab of a phone that looks a bit like the HTC U Ultra, but that also doesn't appear to have any major distinguishing characteristics.
On Saturday morning, mobile tipster Evan Blass leaked new pictures of the upcoming device, seen below. The front is also similar, although the difference here will be in the existence of the secondary ticker display on top which we cannot spot on the live image.
What HTC is calling "Edge Sense" utilizes sensors embedded into the frame of the smartphone to create a new interaction process for mobile devices.
Bumper profits, new phone and its chief on trial — Samsung's insane day

What are your thoughts on the HTC U based on the image? When exactly these consumers will be able to get their hands on the HTC U is a bit of a mystery as of now, with the last set of reports pointing towards an April unveiling.
Industry insider LlabTooFeR took to twitter earlier today to state that HTC's upcoming U Ultra series flagship, now known only as the HTC Ocean, will feature IP57 protection from dust and water, and will lack the standard 3.5mm headphone jack.
