Children and parents frantically start running as the egg hunt begins. By the end of the event, the park was quickly crowded with tiger and bunny looking faces with chocolate stained lips. He believed this year's event was much improved over the inaugural hunt.

"We're breaking down another barrier and a more inclusive community", Heaton said.

Soupateria offers the special sit down dinners on Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Day and Easter.

"Preregistration is really because we don't want to overcrowd everybody", said Reiner.

Since 2001, the Naperville Park District has put a unique twist on the traditional pastime to appeal to kids ages 9 to 13.

"I didn't have to draw the short straw" to get the Easter bunny duty, Shepherd said.

Around 100 children searched for candy-filled eggs in the elementary school playground on Saturday, boasting about their findings to friends and picking out their prizes.

"It kind of gives me a sense of okay I know where those eggs are...it still sounds like a fire detector but I know its an egg", Fisher says.

"They dropped the Easter eggs and then we let the kids go in and pick them up", church member Rita Smith said.

Terry King, the manager of Outtakes, said no one's too old to participate in an Easter egg hunt. "We believe Jesus just accepted people where they're at and loved people where they're at and that's what we wanna do", said Associate Pastor Kris Pfeil. It's hard to get them away from it.

"This is actually the second year we have added a second hunt to accommodate the crowds", said Reiner.

Sharon Shepherd, deputy director of the Martinsville-Henry County Chamber of Commerce, got to relive the excitement she remembers as a girl getting her picture taken with the Easter Bunny. Space was limited and pre-registration was strongly recommended for all tickets, including free tickets for the egg hunts held throughout the day.
