Two days after the Supreme Court banned the sale of vehicles that are non BS-III compliant, two-wheeler dealers are offering major discounts in a bid to dispose off their remaining stocks.

A senior official of the transport department said: "In the city limits, registration of BS III transport vehicles (buses, lorries, etc) were stopped long back. Basically these fake sales are being done to ensure that they can be registered when they are resold to customers".
