Fiancee of former National Football League star Aaron Hernandez testifies

Jenkins-Hernandez testified that she doesn't recall whether she ever spoke to Hernandez about the shooting, even though he and Bradley were friends. Hernandez, 30, a former star quarterback and team captain at the University of CT, was on the state's witness call list earlier this week but never testified.

Bradley also claims he witnessed the former Patriots tight end murder both Daniel de Abreu and Safiro Furtado in a fatal shooting back in 2013.

Jenkins-Hernandez, who was due to testify yesterday but never took the stand, replied that she did not remember receiving the call or a voicemail but said it was not unusual for him to call at that hour.

Bradley, who testified against Hernandez last week, said the ex-football standout fired a gun at the two victims after Abreu spilled a drink on him at a nightclub.

(Josh Reynolds /The Boston Globe via AP, Pool) Shayanna Jenkins-Hernandez, fiancee of former New England Patriots player Aaron Hernandez, walks to the witness stand to testify in Suffolk Superior Court during his trial for the July 2012 killings of Daniel de Abreu and Safiro Furtado, on Thursday, March 30, 2017, in Boston.

Thompson said he met Hernandez's former best friend, Alexander Bradley, on at least two occasions during that time period, but did not have any close interaction with him. When approached by people, London said Hernandez would either say hi or brush them off, adding that he didn't allowed pictures. Her testimony wrapped up around noon.

Earlier this week, prosecutors said that a heated argument between Hernandez and Bradley about the double-homicide led to Hernandez shooting Bradley.

The jury was shown photos of the bullets that struck Safiro Furtado in the head, arm, and back as well as photos of where Daniel de Abreu and Furtado were seated in the vehicle where they were shot. Hernandez's lawyers argue Bradley is responsible for the deaths. "No", Hernandez-Jenkins testified.

Shayanna Jenkins-Hernandez testified against Hernandez under a grant of immunity from prosecutors.

The prosecution said Hernandez placed a 17-second phone call to her 2.37 a.m on the night of the double murders.

Testimony resumed Monday after a long weekend for the jury. He is already serving a life sentence without the possibility of parole for the 2013 murder of Odin Lloyd.
