I nearly didn't recognize the flavor: "I think the name for it is joy". Their British charm is sure to enchant the audience and their matching golden locks make the whole romance superficially believable. Their relationship was hardly a secret-they were about as close to a gay power couple as you could get in the 1940s. Continuing the studio's trend of remaking their animated features is Beauty & the Beast, but does this modern day reimagining of a fairly modern classic conjure up memories of 1991?
My favorite movie growing up was Beauty and the Beast. Enter Belle (Watson, the flawless embodiment of the little engine that could), a scrappy bookworn/inventor who voluntarily enters the prince's lair in return for his freeing her artist daddy (the ever-splendid Kevin Kline) who wandered in there by mistake. Also in the mix is local hero and self-obsessed braggart Gaston (Luke Evans), who with the help of his assistant LeFou (Josh Gad) works tirelessly to earn the hand of Belle. Ewan McGregor and Ian McKellen are simply inspired choices as Lumiere and Cogsworth and offer the flawless touch of levity to the Beast's frustration and tragedy. Emma Watson and Dan Stevens both embody the spirit of their characters with excellence, with Stevens offering some new facets to Beast's personality that makes him an even more compelling creature. It might have just been that the other characters were so much more entertaining that Watson's Belle got washed away.
Bruce: But look at what's new: Beast is a richer character, Belle and her father have a touching back story, the relationship between the castle and the townspeople is given a cool twist and at least two of the new songs are fine additions: "How Does a Moment Last Forever" for Belle and her father and "Evermore" for Beast. Thompson is most well known for her roles in Love Actually, Nanny McPhee, and Sense & Sensibility (for which she also adapted the screenplay), and as Professor Sybil Trelawney in the Harry Potter movies. "If you're moved by something, you're more moved when you hear some of those Alan Menken notes or hear some of those Howard Ashman lyrics". After all, you have seen this movie before.
Yemen: Dozens Martyred, Injured in a new Saudi Massacre
Numerous wounded lost arms and legs in the strike, the Yemeni medical official told AP on condition of anonymity. The International Organization for Migration, which has operations in Yemen, said 42 bodies had been recovered.
And, of course, the special effects and the scenery were handsome.
Technology advances allowed the production to render household objects that look believable when brought to life. I felt this way when I saw the live-action version of Cinderella a few years ago. "We all make choices and I am making mine". I may have loved this movie more than a typical movie goer, as I have been a massive fan of it for a long time.
The IMAX release of Beauty and the Beast will be digitally re-mastered into the image and sound quality of The IMAX Experience® with proprietary IMAX DMR® (Digital Re-mastering) technology.
