McDonald's Twitter account was hacked, posted anti-Trump tweet

McDonald's Twitter account calls Donald Trump 'disgusting excuse of a president'

McDonald's Twitter account calls Donald Trump 'disgusting excuse of a president'

The tweet was pinned to the top of the account page and was visible for about 20 minutes before it was deleted.

When asked for comment, Terri Hickey, a spokesperson for McDonald's, emailed a word-for-word repetition of the company's tweet to SiliconBeat.

However, McDonald's did not clarify whether the account had been hacked, or taken over by a disgruntled, outspoken, employee.

McDonald's corporate account continued to tweet to customers Thursday before addressing the apparent anti-Trump tweet.

While the tweet has since been deleted, with McDonald's brushing it off as an account hack, many customers are not convinced and appear set on condemning the company.

White House releases 2005 Trump tax details before TV report
It said this could have affected his returns for up to 18 years, allowing him to legally avoid paying federal income taxes. Trump's refusal to release his tax returns despite decades of precedent featured heavily in the 2016 presidential race.

"I got @McDonalds for lunch today in honor of their, mistake or no mistake, tweet to puppet baby hands this morning".

The president - who is reportedly very sensitive about his hand size, as well as comparisons to his predecessor Barack Obama - may bristle over the tweet.

Twitter may be US President Donald Trump's preferred way to attack his enemies, but recently he has been getting a taste of his own medicine.

Trump posted an Instagram picture of him eating McDonald's french fries on his jet previous year during the presidential campaign. "And I think you're better off going [to McDonald's] than maybe some place that you have no idea where the food is coming from". Before Puzder withdrew, Easterbrook said that Puzder's experience as a fast-food executive provided him with a good understanding of entry-level jobs and over regulation affecting small businesses.
