A BRAND new trailer for the latest series of Doctor Who promises to be the most intense yet as Peter Capaldi prepares to say goodbye to the character.

The image features Peter Capaldi as The Doctor, with Pearl Mackie as his new companion Bill Potts, and Matt Lucas as Nardole.

There have been many speculations about the next Doctor after Capaldi leaves his role.

'Beauty and the Beast' aims to enchant a new generation
We will never know what the two would have brought to the film, but it's hard to see anyone but Gosling and Stone in the leads. Emma Watson is now touring and promoting her latest, the Disney live-action remake of Beauty and the Beast.

The wait will soon be over, and Monday saw the release of the first trailer for the upcoming season, which will be the final one for star Peter Capaldi (who took over the role, via regeneration, from Matt Smith in 2014). Showrunner Steven Moffat is also on his way out, and will be replaced by Broadchurch scribe Chris Chibnall in Season 11.

Fans have been anxiously anticipating the return of "Doctor Who" - which is understandable, since there hasn't been a new episode aired (not counting the 2016 Christmas special) since December 2015. And, if you purchase your tickets through Atom Tickets, you will get three free Doctor Who digital comic books from Titan Comics and ComiXology, so that's pretty cool. Both Peter Capaldi, who is now playing the 12th incarnation of the titular Time Lord, and Steven Moffat, who has served as showrunner on the series since Season 5, will depart the series after the 2017 Christmas episode.

He announced he was leaving the show during an interview with BBC Radio 2, after four years leading the long-standing sci-fi favourite.
