Snow, freezing rain fall on Harford County Friday

NYC Weather Forecast Snow Expected After Another Warm Week

Generally, the snow totals will be higher in the northern portions of the state and lower in the south, but as usual there is a variety of forms the precipitation could take on the Jersey Shore.

There is a 60 percent chance of snow Saturday, mainly before noon, with a high in the lower 30s, the weather service said.

Sunday will be cold too, with highs only in the lower 30s statewide.

The National Weather Service has issued winter weather advisories in New York City and other portions of the northeast including Pittsburgh, Baltimore and Washington, D.C. At the most, meteorologists say the Wilmington area could see 2 inches, with less than an inch falling in Kent and Sussex counties. The snow is expected to become moderate to briefly heavy at times late tonight and into the start of the Friday morning commute before tapering off toward midday.

The advisory means that periods of snow, sleet or freezing rain will cause travel difficulties and drivers are advised to be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibility. Lake effect snow will continue the snow into Tuesday for far eastern Wisconsin.

"Confidence is increasing in accumulating snowfall, just a low confidence on timing, how much and where the axis will occur", the National Weather Service is reporting.

The milestone came at 10:55 of the second quarter when he connected on a jumper from the right wing over Larry Nance Jr . for a 42-30 Mavericks lead.

The ground is warm, so he said accumulation should be light on the roads.

The NWS forecasts a 100 percent chance of snow Thursday with daytime accumulation of about three inches.

The forecast Saturday night into Sunday is much of the same story and Hotz said he doesn't think there will be a drastic change until the latter part of next week. Cloudy, with a high near 42.

"The potential is increasing for a strong coastal storm producing significant snowfall and strong winds Monday night into Tuesday night", the service said. If the storm shifts to the east, expect dry and cold weather.

The snow, he said, is expected to roll in Saturday night.
