Hyundai FE Fuel Cell Concept looks to the future at Geneva 2017

The concept is a part of Hyundai's eco-friendly program that will see 14 or more new environmentally-focused models introduced by 2020.

South Korea's leading automaker Hyundai Motor Co. unveils its new futuristic concept vehicle, the FE Fuel Cell Concept, at the 87th Geneva International Motor Show in Geneva, Switzerland, on March 7, 2017.

"The new technologies used in the concept auto will also be used in new fuel cell cars now being developed for launch early next year", it added. Jokes aside, we like the look, and could easily see the handsome style inspiring future products from the Korean company, perhaps even a successor to the Tucson Fuel Cell.

They included the Hyundai Tucson FCEV, Hyundai's first commercialized fuel cell vehicle now sold in 17 countries, according to the company.

Russia, Turkey, US Hold Military Talks Amid Syria Standoff
Turkey has seized a swathe of Syrian land on its southern borders since launching its "Euphrates Shield" operation in August.

The future Eco or FE will use a fourth-generation fuel cell which will be 20% lighter and 10% more efficient than what is already in their ix35 Fuel Cell. Power density is also enhanced by 30% allowing the concept to complete a 497 mile range.

Hyundai Motor has a heritage of building innovative, fuel-efficient vehicles that advance the automotive industry's environmental progress. As a result, Hyundai says the new FE Fuel Cell concept has a range of almost 800 km on hydrogen before refuelling.

The FE's hydrogen fuel cell technology towers over the Tucson Fuel Cell.

The Geneva press conference began with a video interviewing Grant Twiggy Baker, WSL Big Wave World Champion, who emphasized the theme of water-a smart choice for Hyundai's influential Fluidic Sculpture design philosophy. The FE Concept is equipped with more advanced technology than previous models, which may help Hyundai better demonstrate the capabilities of fuel cell vehicles and draw yet more attention to hydrogen fuel cells and how they can be used in transportation. Exemplifying this approach, the FE Concept features a dramatic and stylish rear air foil and integrated vents that provide aerodynamic efficiency through intelligent engineering. There is an integrated charging space in the trunk, portable battery packs for charging other electrical appliances and the lavish blue, futuristic interior is said to be inspired by nature and water, mainly due to the only emissions or byproducts being water from the vehicle.
