Speaking at an event backed by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh on March 1, RSS mahanagar pramukh Kundan Chandrawat also said he was ready to give one crore rupees to anyone who killed Kerala chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan.

RSS All-India Sah Prachar Pramukh J Nandkumar issued a statement saying Chandrawat's remarks were "not an official version of the RSS". While holding the chief minister responsible for the murders, Chandravat said Pinarayi had no right to live in this country.

On the other hand, Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan scoffed at the RSS leader Kundan Chandrawat's statement announcing a bounty of Rs 1 crore on the Kerala CM's head. "Attached statement is loud and clear", said RSS spokesperson Manmohan Vaidya in a statement. The leader allegedly made the remarks in presence of MP Chintamani Malviya and MLA Mohan Yadav in Ujjain.

Kerala has witnessed series of brutal murder in recent past.

Most cases of political crimes have occurred in Kannur and Thalassery in north Kerala's Malabar region. As part of the nation-wide protests against killing of RSS men in Kerala, RSS at its headquarters organised a massive protest rally near Reserve Bank Square. The chief minister of a state being threatened by the RSS means they enjoy protection and patronage of the government", said Sitaram Yechury, General Secretary of the CPM, adding, "RSS reveals its true colours as a terrorist outfit. "Will PM & his government stop remaining silent?"

"The RSS doesn't subscribe to any views advocating violence and strongly condemn it".

Leader of the Opposition Ramesh Chennithala demanded the arrest of the RSS leader who issued the death threat.

The RSS, however, distanced itself from Chandravat's remarks, with a top national-level functionary saying he did not even know him. Now, the communists have killed 300 of us in Kerala.
