Netflix Announces Dave Chappelle Specials' Premiere Date



Dave Chappelle fans won't have to wait much longer for his newest specials, his first since 2004's For What It's Worth: Netflix announced Thursday that they'll begin streaming the two specials, both from the comedian's "personal vault", March 21.

Netflix's vice president of original documentary and comedy Lisa Nishimura spoke to the Hollywood Reporter about collaborating with Chappelle. This is incredibly exciting, as Chappelle hasn't recorded a stand-up special in 12 years. These two specials are available only on Netflix on March 21st.

It has been over 10 years since the end of Chappelle's Show and finally, we will be getting new comedy for Dave Chappelle. Chappelle's renowned "The Chappelle Show" ran on Comedy Central for three seasons, and numerous clips and segments from the show on YouTube have received millions of hits. Chappelle is now on the road doing concert dates in preparation for a third Netflix special. The other, Dave Chappelle: Deep in the Heart of Texas, was filmed at Austin City Limits Live in April 2015.

Ever since it was reported that Chappelle inked a deal with Netflix to deliver three comedy specials, we've been waiting on the edges of our seats.
