MEN Universe Pilot Casts Jamie Chung as Blink

Chung is known for playing Mulan on the ABC series Once Upon a Time and Valerie Vale in the Fox drama Gotham, which is set in the DC Comics universe. Chinese actress Fan Bingbing previously portrayed the character in the movie X-Men: Days of Future Past. A mutant with the ability of teleportation, the Blink introduced in the series will be looking to find herself again as she adjusts to her new normal.

Chung joins Switched at Birth alum Blair Redford who was cast in the role of Sam, the headstrong Native American leader of the underground group who sounds an terrible lot like Marvel's iconic hero Warpath.

As we reported a year ago, the untitled series follows two ordinary parents who discover their kids have mutant powers. Eventually, the family joins up with an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive. In the untitled project, the mutant's real name is Clarice Fong.

FOX describes Blink as "sarcastic, lively and a bit of a tomboy [with a] naturally strong exuberance".

Fun Facts About The 89th Academy Awards
Jimmy Kimmel will host the award show live. "We didn't have a publicity budget, it was all word of mouth and us doing interviews". The winners' names are sealed and shut to be opened on Sunday night February 26, 2017 at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles.

Chung is the second series regular to sign onto the pilot. If they start casting other Exiles characters like Morph, Nocturne, and Sunfire, we'll know this series is at least partially based on that comic series. A slew of other superhero characters are now in the process of being cast. It's certainly not "Since this happened in X-Men Apocalypse now all of these things are happening!", which I think is cool, but they already did that.

What other minor X-characters would you like to see join her?

X-Men film franchise director Bryan Singer will direct the pilot, which hails from 20th Century Fox TV and Marvel.

Burn Notice's Matt Nix wrote the pilot and will also serve as executive producer alongside Singer, Lauren Shuler Donner, and Simon Kinberg.
